Quick post to share some recent publications both poetry and essay, online and in print!

Happy to share that my essay, “Becoming the Weather: Reflections on Poetry as Cultural, Political, and Spiritual Act,” has been recently published in Of Color: Poets’ Ways of Making ~ An Anthology of Essays on Transformative Poetics (The Operating System, 2019).
This anthology includes work by 15 wonderful poets, including Ocean Vuong, Craig Santos Perez, Sasha Pimentel, Ching-In Chen, Kenji Liu, Khadijah Queen, Tim Seibles, Abigail Licad, Addie Tsai, Remica L. Bingham-Risher, Wendy A. Gaudin, Melissa Coss Aquino, Tony Robles, and Ernesto Abeytia.
I’m grateful to editors Luisa A. Ingloria & Amanda Galvan Huynh for including my essay in this necessary and engaging anthology!

In further anthology news, I’m happy to share about having work featured in the following two anthologies:
- My poem “La Llorona at the Saloon” is in (un)Bound: Five Years of Asterisms, an Aster(ix) Anthology (Blue Sketch Press, 2018). Thank you to editors Angie Cruz and Adriana E. Ramirez for including my work in this retrospective!
- Also, my prose poems, “Hangman Ode” “At the Table” & “Clams” are part of Star 82 Review Pocket Poems, an anthology that can be found both in print and online. Thank you to editor Alisa Golden for including my work in this project!
